Year of the Bible: Part One of TwelveНамуна

Birth of Cain and Abel.
Stop here and read today's scriptures.
We are tracing this thread of a promise to Adam and Eve that their seed would eventually crush the head of the lying serpent. Could this seed be Cain, or maybe Abel? Waiting for a promise to come about can be challenging. Proverbs says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life." We know Adam and Eve lived for a very long time, and the Bible says Adam died at the age of 930 years old and never received the promise.
Question:What are you waiting on God for? How do you imagine Adam and Eve kept their hopes up of receiving the promised "Seed" over all those generations? How might you, also, continue in hopeful trust in God while you wait?
Prayer Focus: Take a moment to tell God you trust Him, and you trust His timing concerning the things for which you are still waiting.
