Ever notice how hitting snooze “just once” can suddenly turn into rushing, stress, and your whole day being thrown off? In the same way, Nahum shows us how what starts small can grow until it takes over completely if we don’t deal with it early.

Nineveh wasn’t just a little sinful — it was full of violence, greed, and cruelty. Nahum 3 describes it as a place of bloodshed and lies. That’s why God’s judgment was so severe. He wanted the world to see that sin always leads to ruin. It may look attractive or powerful for a while, but in the end, sin destroys.

This passage is a warning for us too: if we play around with sin or take it lightly, it will lead to destruction in our lives. But the good news is that Jesus offers forgiveness. He warns us about sin not to scare us, but to save us from it. When we confess and surrender our sins, He gives us freedom and life. Help me take sin seriously and live in the freedom You offer.
