INVITATION TO A GREAT BANQUET
This parable reminds us to be humbled by the privilege of being called by Jesus into Him family. We must not be proud and arrogant, thinking Jesus is the one blessed by us, instead remember the huge blessing He is to us.

The original guest to the banquet, commonly thought to refer to the Jewish people, display indifference at best (Luke) and violent anger at worst (Matthew) in response to their invitation. Instead, it is the poor, the forgotten, and the outcasts who eventually dine at this wonderful feast.

We must continually challenge and examine ourselves to keep a humble and thankful heart in our invitation to live with Christ, never becoming indifferent, arrogant, or even angry at the great privilege bestowed upon us by the Savior.
