Dear Lord, teach me to live the way You have commanded me, not acting out of selfishness, anger, or greed but rather out of mercy, love, and compassion. Enliven in my heart a new desire to love those around me, no matter who they are. Help me not to act out of my own desires but to do everything for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Over the next forty-six days, you will embark on a journey through seven ancient spiritual disciplines. Each week, you will be introduced to a new discipline that you can add to the previous weeks. Every longer devotional will be followed by daily Scripture readings and prayers to help you go deeper.
