Dear Lord, thank You for inviting me into Your throne room. I am always in awe of Your patience, mercy, and love. This is no surprise to You, Lord, but I have acted with wrong motives in my life—acting like I was serving You but really wanting to be noticed or valued by others. Please forgive me, Lord, and create in me a heart that only wants to serve You for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Over the next forty-six days, you will embark on a journey through seven ancient spiritual disciplines. Each week, you will be introduced to a new discipline that you can add to the previous weeks. Every longer devotional will be followed by daily Scripture readings and prayers to help you go deeper.
