# Simple steps to freedom Getting untangled from the lies of the enemy is a process that requires time and patience. Sometimes, I am tempted to go back to the illusion of comfort that the stronghold offers. The Father will not love you more or less if you choose to stay where you are. Wouldn't it be wonderful to live in the freedom and fulness of what He has created for you? Here are some simple steps to get untangled and stay untangled: ## 1\. Follow the light of the Word: The Father constantly reminds you of the truth of who you are. The light of the Word will show you the way to the Kingdom. The more you expose your heart to the light of His Word, the clearer your spiritual sight will become. Make time to read or listen to the Word. Take time to meditate and let the truth sink deep into your heart. ## 2\. Listen to His voice: Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice. You belong to Him, and therefore, you can hear His voice. When He speaks, it does not just inspire us; it transforms us. God is always ready and willing to speak to you. As we hear His thoughts about us, it starts to untangle us from the enemy's lies. It is as simple as closing your eyes and tuning in to your heart. What do you hear as you focus on that still, small voice? Write it down and share it with someone you trust. ## 3\. Choose to believe what He says: John 8:32 says it is the truth we embrace that sets us free. To embrace a truth means we accept it willingly and enthusiastically, even when it doesn't feel true. As we align our hearts with truth, with what the Father says about us, we will start to experience the freedom He won for us. We align our hearts with His truth when our thoughts and words agree with what He says about us. ## Get Untangled Make a list of all the Father says about you. Write down what He tells you as you quiet your heart. Ask the Holy Spirit for a scripture to support it. Add to it daily. See that list grow as you take back your freedom-one step at a time. Declare those truths every morning. Declare them as often as you can! ## Prayer Heavenly Father, help us align our hearts with truth. Remind us daily of the beautiful, powerful thoughts you have about us. Help us see ourselves the way you see us. Thank you that you have predestined us to be conformed to your image. Show us how to step into the plans you have prepared for us, even before you created the world. In Jesus' Name Amen
