# Feeling Lost "I give up," I said to my husband as we woke up one morning. "I am done trying." I was so tired of trying to fix myself. The harder I tried, the worse I seemed to get. I could not understand why God wasn't helping me. Where was He? Did He lose my address? "I know God loves the world," I said as I continued to explain my heart to my patient husband, quietly listening. I knew he had a lot to say in response, but he allowed me to open up about the torment I was experiencing. "I know that I am part of the world and included in the work of grace by God's mercy, but I can't believe He loves me . Just me." Tears were welling up, and I could not say much more after that. A few weeks after that conversation, I had a radical encounter with the love of the Father. It was an ordinary September day. I had put my baby daughter down for a nap, and my husband offered to stay home with her while I took my son (who was three years old) to the cinema to watch the new Disney movie, Tangled. As I watched the story of Rapunzel unfold on the big screen, I realized that our stories were very similar. I had been lost for many years, too. I had been stuck in a tower of wrong beliefs that limited my experience of the love of the Father and stole my purpose as a daughter of the King. An enemy was invested in keeping me from discovering who I truly was. He knew that he would lose his power over me if I found out who I was. He feared I would discover the most powerful weapon I have - my heart. He did not want to risk me stepping into my purpose, bringing glory to my Father. Seeing how the king sent lanterns every year on Rapunzel's birthday shattered the wall around my heart. When I saw the king light the first lantern as a tear rolled down his cheek, my heart opened up, and for the first time, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was deeply loved . God had not lost my address. He had been calling me faithfully every day. He sent the light of His word to lead me back home to His heart. Dear friend, I want you to know today that it is alright to feel lost. This is the very reason why Jesus came. He came to show us the Father's heart and help us find our way home. I pray you will see the light of His truth and experience the depth of His love for you. Just take one step in His direction today. He will show you who you truly are. ## Get Untangled Write out your feelings to the Father. Express your desire to experience His love more deeply. He hears every prayer you pray-even the ones you don't have the words for. ## Prayer Heavenly Father, thank you for your compassionate heart towards us. Help us to experience your love in all its dimensions. Give us a fresh revelation of who we are and how you feel about us. In Jesus' Name, Amen
