When Faith Is Nowనమూనా

Many of our days are spent in front of a screen, using a device to engage others from a distance, and so many activities are experienced through a lens of virtual reality. Many are living in a moment without ever experiencing injury, true challenge, real victory or loss in that simulated environment. At times it’s difficult to know what is true all around us and we can be overwhelmed easily, even de-sensitized by the enormity of need. There is real risk and danger being played out before our eyes, which is confronting and very real. Many people in our families and communities are in the trenches. Christianity is not a video game where another round is guaranteed nor where pride alone is marred. However, when we walk through life with Jesus, we are never alone or without reason to trust. We will experience storms and face battles along the way, but we have faith for NOW and can believe God for the miraculous. “Now faith” isn’t like faith for the future, which can feel far away and dreamy, such as envisioning your future spouse, reaching a career pinnacle, or sketching your “forever” house plans. Now faith exists in the middle of everyday life, in your current season and experience. Now faith operates when life feels like it’s swirling around you. Life in this season is not a game. We need faith right now. We need answers now. QUESTIONS Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes from hearing the word of God. We don’t generate faith from our own good thoughts, but from the revelation that comes as we reflect on scripture. What do you specifically need faith for right now? Ask God to reveal truth to you now from the Word that will ignite fresh faith for today.
