How many times have you encountered someone that, deep down, wanted to get to know God, but couldn’t see past the reputation of the Church at large? Marred by scandals and past atrocities committed in the name of Jesus, the Body of Christ has painted skewed pictures of her Bridegroom at worst and separated herself from any interaction with Culture at best.
A Proverbs 31 Church understands that her reputation extends beyond her own. She lives a life reflective of the honor she has for her Bridegroom, and makes decisions that She knows represent her home and her family—not just Herself—well. She doesn’t stay hidden, but interacts with the World. When She enters and interacts with Culture, She provides solutions to Society’s problems and builds a strong, positive reputation.
What are ways that you can honor Jesus by interacting with the world at large? How can you take small steps to represent Christ and His Kingdom in a positive way—at work, at play, at rest? The obedience and gracious presence of a corporate Bride rest in the individual obedience and grace of each of Her members.
