God Is Your Provider.

He is the source of everything. After all, He is the Creator and Sustainer of life. His great desire is that you know Him closely as the One who provides for you.

In the midst of obeying God’s command to take Isaac, his one and only son of promise, Abraham said, “God will provide a sacrifice.” God tested Abraham’s faith; Abraham believed in God’s nature of provision, and God said at the right moment for Abraham to use the ram stuck in the thicket as the sacrifice. God is so much a Provider that He revealed His name to Abraham as Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14).

Centuries later, our heavenly Father provided the perfect sacrifice for our sins through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. The story of Abraham and Isaac was a foreshadowing of God’s greatest provision for all humanity who call on the name of the Lord.

What do you need today? There is no greater name or source of provision for your life than the One called Jehovah Jireh. His name is Provider. It's who He is. It's what He does.

Tell Jehovah Jireh what you need. He loves you, is ready to listen, and will provide. Trust in His goodness toward you. Say, as Abraham did, “The Lord will provide.”

Prayer:
“Lord, thank You that You care for me and have never left me. Forgive me for the times I lose my focus and doubt that my needs will be met. You revealed Your goodness to me in Your Word as Jehovah Jireh, my Provider. I look to You as the One who will meet my needs. I place my trust in You as I tell You my needs. Thank You for Your provision; I receive it from You. In the name of Jesus, my Provider. Amen.”
