Provision, Protection, Power

God Is Your Deliverer.

The word deliver is a strong action word—full of hope and joy. In both the biblical Hebrew and Greek languages, it means to save, rescue, draw out of danger, or spare from harm.

Someone who needs deliverance is not free. They are trapped or bound by something stronger than themselves. They need help.

As you read this, what do you need to be delivered from? A harmful habit? Fear and worry? Addiction? Lies about God, others, or yourself? Some area you feel defeated in? Perhaps even spiritual oppression or torment?

Maybe what you need most is deliverance from the future penalty of sin—hell—and need assurance of heaven when you die.

God heard the cries of the Israelites under bondage in Egypt (Exodus 2:24–25). Moved by compassion, He displayed His great power and delivered them from slavery into freedom. “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today… The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:13–14). The Bible is full of real life testimonies of God’s deliverance. As Almighty God, He works to deliver, and none have the power to reverse it (Isaiah 43:13).

The Lord is with you as you read this. He hears your cry for deliverance. He can deliver you. He is ready to deliver you. Ask Him. Allow Him. Receive from Him. Be delivered by His mighty hand as you place your trust in His provision, His protection, and His power over your life.

"Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us” (2 Corinthians 1:10).

Prayer:
“Thank you, Lord, that you deliver me from so that you can deliver me to. You deliver me from evil, from Satanic strongholds, from sickness, from bad habits, from brokenness, from sin, and from hell itself! Thank you that you deliver me to righteousness, peace, victory, joy, assurance, freedom, and your eternal kingdom in heaven! I receive your deliverance now in your awesome name, Jesus. Amen.”
