Kindness

Kindness begins as a small light
in the heart,
then moves outward—
an unexpected generosity
to stranger and friend alike.

It is quick to lend a hand,
is not self-seeking,
shares without keeping score,
and is glad when others flourish.

Kindness is a warm authenticity,
quietly genuine in every gesture,
meeting each moment with an easy grace,
ready to serve and ready to listen.

It walks through hurt
without carrying it forward,
choosing mercy over memory,
peace over payback.

Kindness is the Spirit’s quiet power,
love made patient and near,
teaching us to care
as Christ has cared for us.
