Have you experienced the “pass it on” trend? You’re in a drive-through line, and when you go to pay, the cashier says that the car in front of you paid for your order. Their only request? That you “pass it on.” So you pay for the next car’s order. And they pay for the next. With one act, a stranger started a chain reaction of kindness.

In a way, this Scripture encourages us as believers to do the same when it comes to sharing God’s message of love and salvation. In his letter, Paul asked Timothy not to let God’s Word stop with him, but to pass it on. And in passing it on, it left a spiritual legacy so great that it continues today. This verse reminds us that one of the greatest ways we can demonstrate faithfulness is by preparing the next generation to carry on Christ’s message.
