How to Tell Others About Jesusනියැදිය

Hospitality
… eating and drinking whatever they give you (Luke 10:7)
In this series, we’re looking at what Jesus taught and did in order to tell people the gospel about himself and the kingdom. So far we’ve seen…
1. We need to be genuine – be ourselves.
2. It’s a team effort.
3. We need to be ready with our story,
4. We need to have a clear idea of what we want to say about Jesus when the chance arises.
5. Jesus told us to seek for the people of peace
A significant part of Jesus’ teaching took place, not in synagogues, but over meals.
It will be the same for us.
If you and I want to tell our friends about Jesus, then meals are going to be important.
Story: A friend of mine lives in community with several other Christians. Every fortnight, they host an open meal where outsiders are welcome to join them. Over the years, many people have enjoyed their hospitality and appreciated the chance to talk openly and listen and discuss what it means to follow Jesus today.
Story: I know a woman who has a practice of praying and asking the Lord what to serve to her non-believing guests. She has found over the years that the Lord often shows her exactly what her guests’ favourite meal is! “How on earth did you know that? You’ve just served my husband his favourite type of fish!”
So let’s host barbeques with lots of friends, invite them for dinner, meet them for coffee, have lunch together, have drinks with them, go on holidays together, have fun and laughs over good food with our friends, and it won’t be long before someone’s talking about Jesus.

This series is for those who want to tell people about Jesus but struggle to make it happen, for all who feel and think they have failed. You long to do better, you pray earnestly for many whom you love, but somehow the months and years pass and there seems to be so very little opportunity, response and change. Jesus understands, and over the next few days, come and look at the things Jesus himself explained and taught us about telling others about him.
