Meditating on God's Greatnessනියැදිය

Make full use of the gift God gave you
“I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:6-7, ESV).
In some tribes of northern Argentina, fire is the center of the home: it gives warmth, light, energy and protection. Although it is partially extinguished at night, in the morning, it is enlivened by removing ashes and adding thin branches. Thus, it burns again.
Paul writes to Timothy with a similar image: his gift was covered with ashes and weakened. It needed to be revived. The same is true for us. God has placed gifts in our lives, but many times, tiredness, routine or fear cover them until they become inactive.
Today is the time to blow on those embers. God did not give you a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love and self-control. Your gift is light for those walking in darkness, warmth for the cold, strength for the weak. When you put it into action, many around you are blessed and the Father rejoices to see the fruit.
The enemy wants to put out your fire, to make you feel useless and vulnerable. But God calls you to get up, shake off the ashes and rekindle what He put inside you. Don't wait any longer.
Rekindle the fire of the gift in you! The world needs your light!
