Every Nation: Getting to Know God More Through Psalm 19නියැදිය

God Is on the Move!
Near the end of Psalm 19, David remembers that God is the place he can find forgiveness and hope. He is aware that he is human and will make mistakes, but he wants to be as far away from sin as possible!
But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
Psalm 19:12-13, NIV
We’ve seen God moving in His Creation, but He’s moving within us as well. The heart beating inside your chest was designed by God and He has plans and a purpose for your life! God’s son, Jesus, came to this earth a long time ago to make sure all people could spend forever with Him. Jesus taught us how to live and gave us the chance to believe in him and have true freedom! God uses everything He created to display his love.
This Psalm ends with a prayer that I’d love for us all to pray together:
May these words of my mouth
and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:14, NIV
This prayer reminds me that no matter where I am in the world, I have the wonderful opportunity to live my life for Jesus. I hope you can see God’s character in your days too and I hope the Bible becomes a place of peace and wisdom as you grow stronger in the Lord—no matter where you are!
- As a family: Take turns asking and answering, What does it look like to see God every day? Is there a place where you see God the most?
- Need a hint? I see God in the way someone at the store is kind to me. I see God in the laughter of my friends when I’m feeling sad! I see God when a teacher helps me do something new.

Did you know that you can learn about our amazing God whoever you are and wherever you go? The world around us teaches us about who He is. So does the Bible, which we call God’s Word. This week we’re going to read a whole chapter of God’s Word so we can learn what it means to see God in the world around us and the Word in front of us.
