A Word to the Wiseනියැදිය

Who was Job?
Job is an amazing book. Job was a blameless man and was described as the greatest man in the east in his time, but who was this man called Job?
What would your reaction be if God allowed Satan to take everything except your life away from you?
The book starts with God and Satan having a conversation regarding Job, and a few key points stand out:
- Job doesn’t impress God with his talents; he fears God and turns away from evil.
- Satan believes this is only because God protects Job, and God allows Satan to disrupt Job’s life.
- Satan proceeds to bring calamity to every area of Job’s life.
Job’s response to this is to bless the name of the LORD, and not curse Him.
Our prayer for you today is that you will tackle life with the courage of Job, where in the face of calamity and misfortune, you shall bless the name of the LORD and not curse Him or turn away from Him, and that you will find favor not through your works but your faith.
