Gospel of John Student Devotionalනියැදිය

Have you ever felt completely unsure about something, even when all signs pointed to a good outcome? Maybe you thought you bombed a test but got an A. Or you assumed your team lost, only to hear your name called for first place. Doubt can creep in, even when the truth is right in front of us.
In John 10:22–11:16, people struggled to believe in Jesus, despite the miracles He performed. The religious leaders asked Him to prove He was the Messiah, but He responded, “I did tell you, but you do not believe” (John 10:25, NIV). Later, when Jesus heard His friend Lazarus was sick, He waited instead of rushing to heal him. The disciples were confused, and when Lazarus died, many wondered why Jesus hadn’t done something sooner. But Jesus had a greater plan—to raise him from the dead.
We often do the same thing. When we don’t see immediate answers, we question if Jesus is really working. But just like He knew what He was doing with Lazarus, He knows what He’s doing in your life too. Where are you struggling to trust Him? Remember—He sees the full picture, even when we don’t. Will you trust Him, even when things don’t make sense yet?
