Priorities of the Kingdomනියැදිය

THE SEARCH FOR THE KINGDOM TAKES PRIORITY OVER DAILY NEEDS
MAIN IDEAS
• Followers of JESUS should strive for the KINGDOM OF GOD first and not worry about the everyday needs of this life.
• Just as He takes care of His creation, God especially cares for His children, who are more valuable than animals or plants.
• Godless people worry about securing the needs of this life, while God’s children trust in their heavenly Father.
• Most Christians read the Bible only for its promises, but JESUS teaches us that certain conditions are bound to those promises.
JESUS tells His followers that the top priority in their lives must be the search for the KINGDOM OF GOD; even though they are still living in this world and facing the immediate needs of their physical existence, these physical needs should not be their top priority. If God takes such good care of all physical creation, He will provide for the needs of His children all the more so; our worrying does not help us in any way but instead causes stress and more problems. JESUS links our worldly blessings to our spiritual condition and our primary interest in the KINGDOM OF GOD. When you see Christians who behave in worldly ways and are wealthy, you need to know that those possessions are not from God. People "bless” themselves using all kinds of methods, be they human or even sinful. If, on the basis of a biblical promise, you pray for a resolution to a problem, but do not receive a response, you should search the Bible to discover the conditions related to that biblical promise.
Followers of JESUS must not live in this world according to the lifestyle of those who do not know God and who rate physical existence and material things as the most important. For the citizens of the KINGDOM, the things of this world are fleeting, but the KINGDOM is eternal.
