If someone asked you to describe God, what would you say? We constantly hear other people say things about God- on social media, in church, or even from people on the street. But have you ever actually stopped to think about what God is really like? Over the next few days, we're going to discover what the Bible has to say about God and his character, starting today with the fact that He is powerful. God created everything in the entire universe, down to the smallest detail. He holds all of the power that exists; every part of creation is at his command. But what's unique about God is that even though God is all-powerful, He still cares about each of us. He is powerful and personal. You know that feeling you get when someone just understands you? That's how God looks at us; he loves us personally, knows us more than anyone else, and yet is powerful enough to overcome anything.

Challenge: Today, take some time to go outside and look at God's creation. Take a look around and thank God for what you see! God is powerful and created everything- acknowledge that power and thank him for it today.
