Life Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, in addition to that to be content. –Philippians 4:11 (KJV) When you look at the hand of "Life" that you've been dealt, you have to make some prudent choices on what to do with your cards. Being someone who grew up watching adults play Spades', a card game, I would always see them carefully survey their hands to see what they were working with. After that, it was all about strategy and optimizing what you had to work with. Then, after they understood what they had in their hand, they would immediately determine if they would have success in the game based on that hand. What does your hand look like? Is there success in your future based on your hand? How are you going to play your hand? No matter how good a Spades player is at evaluating the cards in their hand, some hands don't depict winning. In this instance, the option is to be content and do the best with what's there. In the game of life, our mindset should reflect that of a Spades player. Sure, the hand isn't the best and doesn't look ideal for winning, but be content anyway. Sometimes the real meaning of winning is staying in the game even when you have a losing hand!
