А лодка в это время далеко от суши боролась с волнами, которые гнал встречный ветер. Уже на исходе ночи Иисус догнал лодку, идя прямо по морю. Увидев, как Он идет по морю, ученики Его сильно испугались. «Это призрак!» — решили они и в ужасе закричали. Тогда [Иисус] заговорил с ними: «Успокойтесь, это Я! Не бойтесь!»
