Итак, если для вас есть утешение во Христе, если вам ведома утеха, приносимая вашей любовью, если вы соучаствуете в Духе, если вам знакомо сострадание и привязанность, то я исполнен радости. Думайте одно, любите одно, объединяйтесь духовно и имейте одни и те же цели. Не делайте ничего из зависти или пустого самодовольства. Наоборот, в уничижении своём считайте каждого выше себя. Каждый из вас должен думать не только о своём благе, но также и о благе других. Рассуждайте и поступайте так, как Христос Иисус. Хотя Он был Богом по природе Своей, Он не держался за Своё равенство с Богом, но уничижил Себя Самого, приняв образ раба и сделавшись по виду человеком. Он смирил Себя до такой степени, что принял смерть, — смерть на кресте.
