I was very angry with them. Often people say you cannot be angry as a Christian. Christianity is a religion of peace...turning the other cheek to people when they hit you on the cheek. See this part of Jesus’ life. Jesus is coming into the house of His Father, the temple. And He sees that it is not a place of prayer, but a marketplace. He is furious. It hurts His Father. And He stands up for His Father. What Jesus shows in this story is that He was angry because the people ruined God’s idea about the temple.
