Moise!” El a răspuns: „Iată-mă!” Dumnezeu a zis: „Nu te apropia de locul acesta; scoate-ți încălțămintea din picioare, căci locul pe care calci este un pământ sfânt.” Și a adăugat: „Eu sunt Dumnezeul tatălui tău, Dumnezeul lui Avraam, Dumnezeul lui Isaac și Dumnezeul lui Iacov.” Moise și-a ascuns fața, căci se temea să-L privească pe Dumnezeu.
