Niciun om nu-ți va putea sta împotrivă cât vei trăi. Cum am fost cu Moise, tot așa voi fi și cu tine! Nu te voi lăsa și nu te voi părăsi! Fii tare și curajos, pentru că tu vei da în stăpânire acestui popor țara pe care am jurat că le-o voi da strămoșilor lor. Fii deci tare și foarte curajos, veghind să împlinești toată Legea pe care ți-a poruncit-o slujitorul Meu Moise. Nu te abate de la ea nici la dreapta, nici la stânga, ca să reușești oriunde vei merge. Cartea aceasta a Legii să nu se depărteze de gura ta! Meditează asupra ei zi și noapte, veghind, astfel încât să poți împlini tot ceea ce este scris în ea, căci atunci vei reuși oriunde vei merge și vei prospera! Oare nu ți-am poruncit Eu: «fii tare și curajos!»? Nu te îngrozi și nu te înspăimânta, fiindcă DOMNUL, Dumnezeul tău, este cu tine oriunde vei merge!“.
