Mom in the Word: One-Year Bible Plan (Volume 1)ਨਮੂਨਾ

Week 7 (Day 31): Softening Our Hearts Before God
Scripture Reading: Exodus 8-9
Devotional Focus: When God Calls for Surrender
As we step into Week 7, we continue our journey through Exodus, witnessing God's power on full display in Egypt. In Exodus 8-9, we see Pharaoh’s hardened heart as God sends plagues to show His might and call for Israel’s release. Despite the clear evidence of God’s power, Pharaoh refused to fully surrender, choosing temporary relief over true repentance.
How often do we, like Pharaoh, resist fully surrendering to God? We may say, "Lord, I trust You," but when challenges come, we take control back into our own hands. We want relief from difficulties, but true freedom comes through surrender.
As moms, we juggle many responsibilities—parenting, work, home, and ministry. It’s easy to let worry, fear, or busyness harden our hearts toward God’s leading. But He calls us to trust Him, to release our grip, and to allow Him to work in and through us. When we soften our hearts before Him, we make room for His peace, guidance, and power to flow freely in our lives.
Reflection:
✨Are there areas in your life where you resist fully surrendering to God?
✨How has God shown His power in your life, but you’ve struggled to trust Him completely?
✨What steps can you take today to soften your heart and let God lead?
Prayer:
Lord, I don’t want to have a hardened heart like Pharaoh. Help me to fully surrender to You in every area of my life. When challenges come, teach me to trust Your power rather than trying to control everything myself. Soften my heart and lead me in Your ways. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
💛 Take a deep breath today and release whatever is weighing you down. God is in control, and He is working in your life!
