Mom in the Word: One-Year Bible Plan (Volume 1)ਨਮੂਨਾ

Week 7 (Day 34): Trusting God Through Impossible Paths
Scripture Reading: Exodus 13-14
Devotional Focus: Stepping Out in Faith Toward the Red Sea
In Exodus 13-14, we encounter one of the most dramatic moments in the history of Israel—the crossing of the Red Sea. After God had led the Israelites out of Egypt, they found themselves standing at the edge of the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army in pursuit. Their situation seemed impossible. The sea before them, the army behind them, and no way to escape. But in that moment of crisis, God’s plan was about to unfold in a way they never could have imagined.
God commanded Moses to stretch out his hand, and the waters parted, making a dry path through the sea. The Israelites walked across on dry ground, and when Pharaoh’s army followed, the waters returned, drowning their enemies. This miracle was a demonstration of God’s power and faithfulness to His people.
As moms, there are moments when we feel trapped between difficult situations. Maybe it’s a challenge at home, a financial struggle, or a relationship issue. We can feel like we’re at a dead end with no way forward. But just as God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites, He is able to make a way for us when it seems like there’s no way.
God doesn’t always lead us in ways we expect or understand, but He always knows what’s best. Just as He led the Israelites with a cloud by day and fire by night, He will guide us through the toughest moments. The key is to trust His direction and step out in faith, even when we can’t see the whole picture.
Reflection:
✨Have you ever faced a situation that felt like you were trapped between a sea and an army? How did God show up for you in that moment?
✨What “Red Sea” are you standing in front of right now? How can you trust God to part the waters?
✨In what ways can you take a step of faith today, even when the path ahead seems uncertain?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the reminder that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Help me to trust You, even when I can’t see the path ahead. Strengthen my faith and give me the courage to step out in obedience, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
💛 Take time today to reflect on the ways God has parted “seas” in your life, and trust that He will continue to make a way for you.
