The God of Times and Seasons

DAY 5 OF 5

The Canaan season of life is a season of abundance, victory, and testimonies. It is the place where long-awaited promises begin to blossom, and your story finally makes sense. You have been delivered from Egypt. You have been tested in the wilderness. And now, God has brought you into a season where His goodness is visible, tangible, and undeniable.

Canaan is the land of milk and honey, the season where you enjoy vineyards you did not plant, wells you did not dig, and houses you did not build. In Egypt, you suffered. In the wilderness, you struggled. But in Canaan, little effort produces great results. What refused to work before now flourishes effortlessly. Here you discover that it is truly the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.

In the wilderness, you learned dependence. You learned that without God, you can do nothing. Once that truth was established in your heart, God ushered you into a season where His grace amplifies your steps and multiplies your impact.

But now that you have entered your Canaan season, there are two crucial things you must keep in mind:

  1. Remember who brought you out:

Over and over again, God warned Israel: "When you have eaten and are full… do not forget the Lord your God". When life becomes easy, comfort can breed pride. Gradually, people begin to believe that their achievements came by their own wisdom, strength, and strategy. But Canaan requires discipline, gratitude and humility. The greatest safeguard in your season of abundance is to remember the God who delivered you from Egypt and sustained you in the wilderness.

2. Remember why you were brought out:

Abundance is never just for comfort. God does not bless His children simply so they can eat, drink, and enjoy life. He blesses us so we can participate in His grand plan. Your wealth is stewardship. God told Israel that the reason He gave them the power to get wealth was so He might “establish the covenant which He swore unto Abraham.” Canaan was not only a land of restoration; it was a land of responsibility. What God places in your hands is meant to flow through your hands, touching lives, advancing His kingdom, and fulfilling His promises.
