The God of Times and Seasonsਨਮੂਨਾ

In the wilderness season of life, everything grows quiet. It is the place where it feels as though God no longer hears your prayers or responds to your cries. Nothing seems to grow. Nothing seems to move. Whether you turn north or south, it feels the same, directionless. Time itself becomes blurry, as if your life has been placed on pause.
The Israelites understood this season well. They had just witnessed God’s breathtaking deliverance at the Red Sea. They watched Pharaoh’s mighty army drown before their eyes, proof that God was with them. With hearts full of expectation, they began their journey toward the land flowing with milk and honey, the beautiful land God had promised.
But between Egypt and Canaan lies the wilderness, and the wilderness is not only a place of emptiness, it is a place of formation.
In the wilderness, your helpers disappear. The voices that once encouraged you seem far away. You find yourself alone with God, stripped of distractions, stripped of noise. It is the place where hard work does not work, where human strength fails, and where personal effort produces no result. Nothing grows here except your dependence on God.
This is the season where God teaches you that “Man shall not live by bread alone.”
Consider Moses. He acted hastily when he killed the Egyptian, attempting to fulfill God’s calling in his own strength. The Bible tells us that Moses already sensed he was called to deliver Israel, but he misunderstood how God intended to use him. Moses thought he was to be a warrior; God intended him to be a prophet. So God led Moses into the wilderness for forty years, not to punish him, but to reshape him. It was there Moses learned meekness, patience, and the voice of God.
Nobody likes the wilderness season. It feels lonely, confusing, and endless. Yet it is often the most necessary part of your journey. The wilderness is where God strips away the old so He can prepare you for the new. It is where you discover who you really are, and more importantly, who God really is. This season is not your destination, it is your preparation. And when God is finished with what He is forming in you, you will step into your Canaan with a strength, clarity, and maturity you could never have gained anywhere else.
