Shifts: When God Disrupts Your Plans to Fulfill His Purpose (7-Day Bible Plan)ਨਮੂਨਾ

Back to the Basics
After a shift, it’s easy to feel spiritually drained — worn out from the stretching, the waiting, and the uncertainty. But when everything else settles, God always brings us back to the basics: prayer, His Word, worship — which includes how we treat others and live out our daily lives — and resting in His presence.
Sometimes we overcomplicate faith. We chase signs, stages, money, titles, positions and success, thinking that deeper faith means doing more. But Jesus showed us something different. Hanging on the cross, after the most painful shift in history, He simply said, “It is finished.”
No shouting. No striving. Just surrender.
That moment teaches us that spiritual maturity isn’t about constant movement; it’s about resting in what’s already been done. The same Jesus who endured the wilderness, rejection, and crucifixion reminds us that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do after a storm is be still.
When you go through multiple shifts, your spirit gets weary. You start to lose focus. You forget the joy you once had. That’s when God whispers, “Come back to Me.” Not to your plans. Not to your performance. To Me.
Getting back to the basics means slowing down enough to hear His voice again. It means opening your Bible not to study for others, but to let the Word speak to you. It means praying not for answers, but for closeness. It means speaking over yourself, encouraging yourself in the Lord. It means realizing that you don’t have to earn His love — you already have it.
When Jesus said, “It is finished,” He wasn’t just ending His suffering; He was beginning your restoration. Everything you need for this NEXT SHIFT has already been provided. You just have to receive it.
Breathe.
Right where you are.
Inhale — grace.
Exhale — control.
Inhale — peace.
Exhale — fear.
Inhale — faith.
Exhale — doubt.
Now exhale — and excel.
You’ve survived the shift; now walk boldly in what God has prepared for you. The next shift is coming, maybe it's already here!
Reflection Question: What do you need to return to — prayer, worship, Scripture, or simply resting in God’s presence?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for reminding me that I don’t have to strive to be loved. Teach me to rest in Your finished work. Bring me back to the basics — to prayer, to worship, to Your Word, and to peace in Your presence. Amen.

About this Plan

Life doesn’t always go as planned. Sometimes God tells you to move when you least expect it—or makes you move when you refuse to. It’s uncomfortable, uncertain, and often confusing, but every divine disruption has a purpose. In this seven-day devotional, Minister Jayden Watkins shares how to recognize God’s voice in transition, trust His timing when the path is unclear, and find peace in the shift. Through honest reflection, powerful Scripture, and prayer, you’ll see that God doesn’t move you to break you, but to build you. When He shifts your life, He’s preparing you for greater purpose.
