Day 1: Let us be a Fragrance of Forgiveness

God has called us to be the light of this world, the salt of the earth, but also the aroma of Christ. The Lord is pleased when our lives give off a pleasing fragrance in His presence. One of those pleasing fragrances for our Heavenly Father is the fragrance of forgiveness. If there's anything we should celebrate in life, it's that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us and cleanse us from all wickedness. By forgiving us and giving us eternal life, this is the essence of the gospel. Just as God, through His grace, forgives us, He expects us to forgive as well.

When we live a life of forgiveness, forgiving and asking for forgiveness, the presence of God flows into our lives, the aroma of Christ spreads throughout our homes, and we make an impact in our families, especially our children, who are attentive to our every step. They will perceive the flow of the Holy Spirit within us, like when someone enters a room, leaving a trail of their soft, fresh perfume.

Beloved, it is not easy to forgive, but if we act in faith and obedience to the Word of God, we will receive the Lord's reward and a free life.

Let's pray: Thank you, Father, for your word. I ask you, Lord, to help us to be this fresh breath perfumed beyond this world, when people see us, they can sense and even smell Christ in us. Father, they can see and smell the fragrance of your presence in our attitudes, in our thoughts, in our words. Father, may our sons, may our daughters, may our husbands, may our families, neighbors, and everybody see Jesus in our lives. We thank you in the name of Jesus Lord. Amen.
