Pride and Self Esteemਨਮੂਨਾ

Pride and Self-Esteem – Day 4
Pride doesn’t just appear in big attitudes; it sneaks into our daily thoughts and actions. Learning to recognize it in our hearts and respond to it with humility is key to walking closely with God.
Question and Answer
How can we deal with pride in our hearts?
Humility is a practical choice. The Holy Spirit shows us areas of our hearts that need transformation, but it is up to us to act, choosing to listen and learn from others.
Reflection
Pride often hides in small daily actions. Being humble means being willing to listen, learn, and open ourselves to God’s work. Every interaction—at home, at work, with friends, or even with strangers—is an opportunity to choose humility over pride.
The Bible teaches, “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may lift you up in due time” (1 Peter 5:6), and sets the example of Jesus, who humbled Himself (Philippians 2). Practicing humility draws us closer to God, keeps us sensitive to the Spirit, and helps us value the people around us.
Response/Application
- Examine your heart and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas of pride.
- Practice humility by listening and learning from those God places in your life.
- Make daily choices to serve and surrender, rather than elevating yourself above others.
Suggested Action
- Pray: “Lord, show me where I need to be more humble and teachable today.”
- Identify someone in your life from whom you can learn.
- Reflect on your reactions: do they reveal pride or humility?
