Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief (1Timothy 1:15 NKJV).
How aware are you of your own sinfulness?
As Paul neared the end of his life, he humbly confessed to Timothy that he is presently and continually the foremost sinner (1Timothy 1:15). This recognition didn’t lead to despair; instead, it fostered a deeper dependence on God’s grace.
How often do you reflect on your need for God's mercy? Drawing near to God reveals our own brokenness and His incredible grace. I encourage you to acknowledge your need for grace daily and let it draw you closer to the Savior.
Employment Point: Daily draw near to God for a continual awareness of your sinfulness and the need of His mercy and grace.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
