Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

He who heeds counsel is wise (Proverbs 12:15 NKJV).
How brightly will you shine in eternity?
Paul explains in today’s reading that, just like stars vary in brightness, there will be different levels of glory in the resurrection. “There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead” (1 Corinthians 15:41–42 NKJV). Those who serve faithfully will shine brightly forever.
Think about how you’re living your life now. Are you doing everything you can to make the most of your future reward? Your efforts today can have a big impact on your eternal brightness, so serve with passion and dedication.
Employment Point: Zealously serve the Lord now to shine brightly forever.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
