Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts (Romans 13:14 NKJV).
What’s your plan to live like Jesus and not give in to selfish desires?
In today’s reading, both Paul and David advise us to stay away from wickedness. Paul tells us not to make any provisions for selfish desires (Romans 13:14) and David promises not to look at anything evil (Psalm 101:3–4). Living a holy life means actively avoiding sin and choosing to follow Christ.
As believers, we need to be intentional about avoiding sin. Each day, focus on following Jesus and making choices that reflect His teachings. Cling to David and Paul’s advice and flee from wickedness.
Employment Point: Discard the old sinful paths and put on Jesus.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
