Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33 NKJV).
When was the last time you stood in awe of God?
In today’s reading, Paul praises God’s wisdom and knowledge after contemplating His past, present, and future work with Israel. Likewise, the psalmist calls us to worship and kneel before our Maker. For this reason, he writes, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand” (Psalm 95:6–7 NKJV).
Just as Paul and the psalmist are moved to worship by God’s greatness, we too are called to respond with reverence and awe. As you do, ask God to help you live out this worship in your actions and interactions, demonstrating His greatness in all you do.
Employment Point: Praise the Lord who masterfully will finish His work with us.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
