Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel (1 Chronicles 17:7 NKJV).
Are you following the Good Shepherd?
As a boy, David demonstrated the qualities of a good shepherd, tending to his father's flock with care and courage, protecting them from threats like lions and bears (1 Samuel 17:34). Fast-forward a thousand years, and we encounter another Good Shepherd, Jesus, a descendant of David. Jesus declares, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” (John 10:11 NKJV). Jesus, the Good Shepherd, takes care of us and deserves our unwavering loyalty and trust. Just as David protected his father's sheep, Jesus laid down His life for His followers, ensuring their safety and well-being. I pray that you entrust yourself fully to Jesus, the Good Shepherd, knowing that He cares for you!
Employment Point: Follow the good shepherd who laid down His life for you.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
