Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6 NKJV).
Has the truth set you free?
In a future reading, the secular Pilate will sarcastically ask Jesus, “What is truth?” (John 18:38). In our reading today, Jesus declares, “If you abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32 NKJV). Jesus embodies truth, and through Him, as His disciples, we find spiritual freedom. Have you embraced His truth? Consider this: Jesus came not only to reveal truth but also to offer grace. Grace, meaning undeserved favor, is freely given by Jesus. Have you accepted this gift of grace? Once you depend solely upon Him to be your Savior, then you experience John 8:36 (NKJV): “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
Employment Point: Be spiritually free by placing your faith in Jesus.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
