God's Plansਨਮੂਨਾ

18. I Delight to Do Your Will
Why: God’s plans are a source of delight
Lectio. “I desire [I delight] to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.” (Psalm 40:8, NIV – read Ps. 40:6–10).
Meditatio. In this psalm, reflecting on waiting and trusting the Lord, David declared that ritual worship is not what God prioritizes, but the joyful willingness to obey and proclaim His righteousness. To live this way, he asked for deliverance.
Oratio. Pray saying: “Here I am.” Confess your desire to follow what is written in the book. Ask God for willingness, understanding, joy, and conviction to proclaim and reveal His righteousness in every circumstance.
Contemplatio. Picture a servant who, after serving for a time, decides to remain out of love for his master. He is taken before the judges, and his ear is pierced as a sign of permanent submission and obedience (Ex. 21:1–6).
Confessio. The phrase “It is written about me in the scroll” has brought me peace over the years. What God does not desire and what He truly wants are written, so that I may know with certainty how to live His will.
