The Promised Land

DAY 23 OF 30

DAY TWENTY-THREE — Blessed in Obedience

After a long season of preparation and labor, the people finished the Tabernacle. Every thread was woven, every stone set, and every detail matched God’s instructions. Then Moses inspected the work and saw that it was done just as the Lord commanded—and he blessed them.

This is a picture of faithful obedience. The people offered their best gifts, the craftsmen poured out their skill, and together they created a dwelling place for God’s glory. And when the work was finished, it reflected not just human effort, but God’s design.

There’s also an echo of creation here: God completed His work, saw that it was good, and blessed it. Now His people complete their work, Moses sees that it is good, and he blesses them. Our work, when aligned with God’s purposes, becomes an act of worship.

We may not be building tabernacles today, but God still invites us into His work—raising children, serving others, creating beauty, building community. When we do it with faithfulness, He delights to bless it.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

  • What work has God entrusted to you in this season?
  • How can you approach your daily responsibilities as acts of worship?

About this Plan

The Promised Land

THE PROMISED LAND and Milk and Honey Productions have created this plan to help individuals and groups engage the story of Exodus and Leviticus in a fresh way. In this 30-day devotional, you’ll see clips from THE PROMISED LAND, read passages of Scripture, and reflect on questions that connect Israel’s journey to your own walk of faith. Through humor, reverence, and honesty, we’ll discover that God uses ordinary, imperfect people to accomplish His extraordinary purposes.
