DAY 10 OF 30

Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬ describes what lies beyond the borders of the starting point of Garden:

“And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; and the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.”

‭‭

You’re just getting started. The Garden was the starting point. The Garden was the grooming point. The Garden was the fruitful place. The Garden was the instruction for the construction of humanity. The Garden was the beginning—God had more in store. Many get blindsided by the temptation of the Garden—when God has more in store for you. The temptation of the Garden was the beginning stage for Adam to express his dominion over sin. In fact, the Garden was not only the starting point—it was the place that God placed man. God formed man outside of the Garden but He gave man the assignment to cover, guard, protect, and keep the Garden. Notice, God didn’t send man to cover the gold, jewels, and precious stones and metals found in the verses they followed the formation of man found in Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Notice, Satan wasn’t near the gold found in verse . Satan wasn’t near the onyx and precious stones found in verse . Satan, was near the one thing that Satan never had—a pure heart. Satan wasn’t after the gold or the onyx of the precious stones found in the subsequent verses. Satan was after the heart of man. If he can contaminate your heart you’ll forfeit the gold. More importantly, if he can contaminate your heart you’ll forfeit the promise. Satan wasn’t after the gold. Satan wasn’t after the land. Satan was after legacy. If he can’t take your land—he’ll cause you to forfeit it. If he can’t take your gold—he’ll cause you to forfeit it.

Satan couldn’t take Adam’s life, but he caused him to forfeit it. Sin corrupts. Disobedience delays destiny. Your Legacy is tied to your obedience. Don’t forfeit the Promise. Guard, keep, and protect the Garden. Obey God. Legacy is on the line.
