Unfolding the Bible Story With Shereneਨਮੂਨਾ

Redemption Through Christ
Making Way for the King
John the Baptist stood alone in the wilderness, a solitary voice calling for repentance. Clothed in camel’s hair, living simply, he devoted himself entirely to preparing hearts for the Messiah. John did not seek applause or comfort. He lived to point others to Christ, declaring with clarity: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” His life reminds us that the most profound service is rarely about us; it is about making space for God to move.
Centuries later, Billy Graham carried that same dedication across continents. From small-town tents to stadiums packed with thousands, he preached the unchanging truth of salvation through Jesus Christ. Graham resisted fame, politics, and personal recognition, insisting that the spotlight belonged to God. His humility mirrored John’s mission: decrease so Christ may increase. Lives were transformed, generations reached, and hearts opened to God’s kingdom.
God calls us today to prepare the way for Him in quieter, less visible ways. We can share stories of His provision, offer encouragement during struggles, or walk alongside someone as they learn to trust Him. These moments are rarely about our talent or knowledge. They are about allowing God’s presence to be seen through our faithfulness.
In Hong Kong, God placed a young girl into my life, and together we began a journey of mentorship. We prayed, planned, and sought His guidance for her path. She faced challenges, moved to another country, and took steps toward growth with courage. Not everything went perfectly, but over time, she became the young woman God intended her to be. Recently, she shared how God had been shaping her life in ways we could never have imagined. It was a living reminder that even quiet mentorship can point someone toward God’s plan and purpose.
Like John preparing Israel for Jesus, and Billy Graham preparing hearts across nations, our small, faithful acts can redirect others toward Christ. Each conversation, each word of encouragement, and each act of patience becomes a step in God’s kingdom work. Even when our efforts feel unseen or slow, God is at work, weaving lives together for His glory.
Faithfulness often begins quietly. In the wilderness, in classrooms, over coffee, or across continents, God uses ordinary people to make a pathway for others to encounter Him. Our calling remains the same: to teach, guide, invest, and point to the One who is the way, the truth, and the life.
Reflection Question:
How can you help others discover hope?
Prayer:
Lord, make me a vessel that points others to You. Help me to live with humility, sharing my story not for recognition but to reveal Your love. Let my words and actions prepare the way for others to encounter the living Christ.
