Meditating on God's Greatnessਨਮੂਨਾ

Finding strength in God
“For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?— the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless.
He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation, and Your right hand supported me, and Your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.
For this I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations, and sing to Your name.” (Psalm 18:31-36; 49 ESV)
The psalmist recognizes that God is the only unshakeable foundation and source of all power. Understanding that his strength comes from the Lord, he sees every battle—literal or symbolic—as divine training. When God “trains my hands for war” and supports me with His “right hand,” I can be certain that, even in the midst of conflict or trials, I am not alone. This confidence transforms our perspective: adversity no longer is an insurmountable obstacle but becomes an opportunity to experience God’s faithfulness.
As we contemplate how God “gave a wide place for my steps under me” and “my feet did not slip,” a deep desire to praise Him among the nations is born. Therefore, the natural response is to give thanks and proclaim His greatness: He guides, strengthens, protects, and upholds.
If we integrate this truth into our daily lives, we experience fewer complaints and more gratitude. We stop blaming circumstances or people and begin to enjoy the peace that the Lord provides, knowing that He is the one who gives victory and deserves our praise.
