Rooted in the Word: A 5-Day Devotional Journey Based on Colossians 2:6-7ਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 4: The Word Directs
Life is filled with moments of uncertainty. Psalm 119:105 (ESV) reminds us that God's Word is like a lamp for our feet and a light on our path. Notice it doesn’t promise a spotlight on the whole road—just enough light for the next step. When everything feels unclear, the Word steadies our direction.
Isaiah 55:10-11 (ESV) assures us that God’s Word will not return void. Just as rain waters the earth and produces life, God’s Word will fulfil every purpose for which He sent it. It is not wishful thinking—it is a guaranteed return.
In Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV), we’re told to trust in the Lord and not lean on our own understanding. The Word gives us something solid to lean on when our own perspective falters.
Reflection: Where are you seeking guidance? Are you trusting that God's Word will fulfil its purpose?
Activation: Write down one area of your life where you need direction. Search the Scriptures for a promise or principle related to that area (use a concordance or Bible app if needed). Meditate on that verse this week and ask God to illuminate the next right step. Commit to taking action, even if it’s small.
