Fresh Startਨਮੂਨਾ

Do you ever look at the stars at night? I do. Sometimes, I'm caught doing it when I get out of the car late at night. Sometimes I intentionally do it. I go outside to look up at the stars. It's something that's so beautiful to me. Sometimes, when I look up at the stars, I'm reminded of the promises of God. I'm reminded that He is a promise keeper. I'm reminded of Abraham and Sarah. It reminds me of so much.
He made the stars.
There's another thing that I know to be true about the stars. The Bible reminds us that not only did He make the stars, but He knows every single one of them by name. Have you ever been able to count all of the stars? I know that I haven't. That's because there are so many of them. Even when I use the app that I've downloaded, which tells me the names of stars, I still can't count them. No matter how numerous they are in the sky, God knows all of them by name. He's able to do what no human can do.
He made the stars.
This passage reminds me that because He made them and that because He knows their names, He knows our names too. Yes, there are a lot of humans on earth, but He still knows our names. He knows exactly where we have been positioned. He knows whether others can see it or not. He knows your name. He doesn't have to use an APP to hold up to us to tell anyone either. He just knows. He knew our names before our parents knew our names. He knew our names before He formed us in our mother's womb. The same God who made the stars knows your name. He knows my name. There's nothing that He doesn't know about you. The same way that you and I look up at the sky at night and become fascinated and in awe at His creation, He looks at us the same way. God is looking at you. He sees you. He made you, and He knows your name.
Prayer:
Lord, You didn't just make the stars, but You named them too. You did this because You care so much. The same way that You know their names, You know mine. God, no matter what situation I find myself in, help me to remember that You know my name. I won't be confused about my stance with You. Thank You, Father, in Jesus' name, amen.
