DAY 2 OF 5

Day 2: Expert Tasters – Catfish

What if you could taste with more than just your mouth? Catfish have taste buds all over their bodies—even on their backs, bellies, and barbels. Their taste buds are powerful and help catfish find food in murky waters, where it’s hard to see.

When the Bible says, “Taste and see that the LORD is good,” it doesn’t mean lick your Bible! “Tasting” the Lord means we discover and appreciate how wonderful God is and take in His goodness.

Life gets murky sometimes, but we can teach our hearts to notice and enjoy God’s kindness all around us.

Did you know?

Fun fact: At least seven species of catfish swim upside down!

Make it stick!

Think of one example of God’s goodness. Maybe it’s something in nature, a promise from the Bible, the help of a friend, or an answered prayer. If it had a flavor, what would it be?

Prayer

Loving God, Your goodness is always there, but sometimes it’s hard to notice. Help me to “taste” how wonderful You are, as I experience Your blessings and remember Your promises.
