Love People?!

DAY 6 OF 8

“Is it Too Noisy?”

Do you know what it’s like when you need to be really focused and suddenly it gets loud around you?

I had just made myself a delicious cup of coffee, sat by the open window, and was typing away, motivated to work on the A Miracle Every Day texts… when the neighbors decided to open their window too, laugh loudly, and turn up the TV! And the other neighbor started mowing the lawn...😤

Aaaaah... Can you relate to the emotions I felt at that moment? And do you know that these emotions are totally selfish? Ouch.

It says, “Love your neighbor AS yourself.” (Matthew 22:39 NIV)

And when we flip the situation and ask ourselves: “Would YOU, if you had a garden with beautiful grass, not use this sunny day to mow the lawn?” Or: “Would YOU, if you had the day off, not enjoy sitting at the breakfast table laughing?”

You really have two choices. You could knock on their door, irritated: “What’s going on? It’s only 8 AM!” OR you can do something that might come less naturally: Sit back with your coffee, smile, and be happy that your neighbors are doing well.

And this God, who desires you to love and care, won’t leave you hanging—He’s always there!

I’m convinced that while we choose to love, God chooses to give us more than we may feel we’ve lost in that moment.

In the case of this noise disturbance, God led me to this great idea of encouragement—which I just shared with you! And I’m convinced that God decided to give me this idea while I chose to be brought into God’s love instead of being disturbed.

So don’t let yourself be “disturbed,” but “brought into love” today!

You are a miracle!

About this Plan

Love People?!

God calls us to love others, not by our own strength but through His power. When we choose to love—even before being hurt—He makes us able. True peace comes from being right with God, not from pleasing people. We’re called to love everyone, but we shouldn’t lose ourselves trying to fit in. Instead, we’re meant to become like Jesus, not the world. Don’t let the world disturb your heart—let God lead you into love. And don’t wait for change to happen around you; let God bring change through you.
