DAY 16—Creation Groans

Romans 8:22 gives creation a voice: “The whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” Storms, quakes, and extinctions are signs that the world aches for new birth. This pain isn’t pointless; it’s labor pain, pointing forward to God’s promise of a renewed heaven and earth. Next time you notice nature’s brokenness—or feel your own—let it remind you: a new world is on the way. The groans will turn to songs of joy when all is made new.
