Jesus Is…Lordਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 2 - Jesus is…Judge.
Matthew 25:31-46 (ESV)
Devotional: Let us not forget that Jesus is a judge. At the end of the age, He will judge the world, separating those who have surrendered to Him from those who have surrendered to the world. C.S. Lewis once wrote, "There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says in the end, 'Thy will be done.'" While we serve a holy and righteous judge, we must also remember that He is a generous judge. He is a judge full of grace and generosity; our actions, especially how we love others, matter. Though we are saved by grace through faith, that does not mean our actions do not matter. Matthew 25 (ESV) makes it clear: how we treat others, especially fellow believers, matters deeply to God. The Lord sees the hearts of his followers, especially through the sacrificial actions to the least of these. So let us be good stewards of all He has entrusted to us, remembering that our Judge sits on a throne of love. His desire is that none should perish but that all should come into His Kingdom through the gift and sacrifice of His Son!
Prayer: Jesus, you are a judge full of generosity yet just. Thank you that on judgment day you stand. What a gift that the mistakes I make every day, You cover with the gift of the cross.
